Improving Learning With Strong Foundations

About Cornerstone Learning

Providing tutoring in Ballarat, Cornerstone Learning was founded by qualified teacher and experienced tutor Christine Phillips. Its mission is to provide a wide range of educational support services, that build strong foundations and enable learners to achieve further success.

We not only lay down strong basic educational skills, but also work to instill young people with confidence and self-belief, that can sometimes be lost in a school classroom environment.

Our Philosophy

At Cornerstone Learning, we believe that reading, writing and maths should each be enjoyable, and inspire young inquisitive minds.

All of our tutors are experienced within education, either as fully qualified teachers or high achieving tertiary students. Together, we endeavour to provide a safe and secure learning environment.

We understand the value of learning within a peaceful, uncluttered and supportive environment. Many children can find school stressful, which can cause them to lose confidence in their education and themselves. This in turn can have a negative effect on their education.

We help young people develop their skills in reading, writing and maths, starting with basic foundation level knowledge and building on that to help develop confidence.

Every child is unique, talented, intelligent and capable - at Cornerstone Learning we help children believe it too.
